I have been making a lot of birthday cakes and was waiting for a chance to try my hands on a different themed one. And at that moment I got a chance to bake this anniversary cake for a couple who were celebrating their 40th anniversary. Such long term of togetherness and love must definitely be celebrated with a special cake right? So I planned for a white and carmelian red combo color cake with 3d fondant figurines and a fondant chocolate heart box. The box and the figurines were both made with fondant,

I made the fondant heart box 72 hours before the cake was to be delivered to let it dry and hold its shape. The 3d anniversary couple fondant figurines were also made with fondant. The bride looks a little short but I just somehow liked the pair together. This was my first try at couple figurines and I was so much satisfied with what I had accomplished. 

It was a 1.5 kgs chocolate cake with rose buttercream filling and milk chocolate ganache.
